Aamir Khan had announced that he wants to increase his voluntary temporary retirement from films for another year since he wants to concentrate on his home productions. However, from the moment his
Peepli Live went live on Sundance Film Festival, Aamir suddenly went skeptical about his all other productions. And so, Abhinay Deo, director of Aamir Khan Production's
Delhi Belly, has started working on
Crooked instead! Hmm...Mr. Deo Aamir hardly visits any film festival other than Oscar of course. So let him have some festival fun!
This isn't the first time that Aamir has had a different view of things than the director he appointed. His spat with Amol Gupte during Taare Zameen Par is legendary. The buzz is that Aamir isn't happy with Abhinav's output (how predictable!) and has stopped taking much interest in the film. Meanwhile, Abhinav has taken Aamir's aloofness to heart and made his displeasure clear to his close aides. A source close to Aamir said that Abhinav is irritated that Delhi Belly has been kept on the backburner. He has moved on and is now directing Crooked. How long could he wait? Exactly! Aamir, alienating oneself from a product won't solve the matter. Will it?
But defending Aamir, the source added that Aamir is not at fault. He has been very busy. He likes to get involved in one project at a time. He will start working on Delhi Belly soon. But yes, Aamir does like to be in total charge of whatever his production house makes. Both Abhinav and Aamir remained unavailable for comment. If that's the case, why are you multitasking Aamir, when time is always low on content for you?
